synopsis

When prince Elijah comes of age he expects to be gifted with the strongest of powers he doesn’t seem to have any except the ability to grow flowers. Will he be able to grow into the prince he thought he’d be and save the Kingdom without having the powers he thought he’d have?

ABOUT

Sprout is an animation feature with original music. An entertaining fun story with likeable characters, a love story and traditional animation movie themes such as magical kingdoms, giants, royalty and quirky animal characters. The film explores an original theme of masculinity where the protagonist Elijah feels he needs to keep up with the expectations of what it’s like to be a prince when he comes of age. His older brother obtains strong traditionally ‘manly’ powers making Elijah feel isolated and questioning if he is enough. The animation has education themes suitable for children and boys to learn that it’s okay to be different, to be in touch with your emotions and in fact, that’s a super power in itself.

The screenplay is complete and the project is looking for distribution and finance partners.
